How do I verify a land title?

Go to the 'Verify Land' page, enter the Property ID, Registration Number, or Plan Number, and click Search. The system will display the property's verification status, owner details, and coordinates.

What is a Digital C of O?

A Digital Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) is an electronic, tamper-proof version of the traditional land title. It is securely stored on our servers and can be instantly verified online, eliminating the risk of forgery.

How do I register as a Surveyor?

Click on 'Register' and select the 'Surveyor' role. You will need to provide your SURCON registration number for validation. Once approved, you can start uploading survey plans for clients.

Why is my NIN required?

Your National Identity Number (NIN) is required to prevent identity theft and ensure property is registered to real individuals. The Admin portal verifies your NIN directly against the official NIMC database via Didit before officially assigning a land title.

What happens if a survey plan overlaps with another property?

Our automated GIS system detects overlaps instantly using PostGIS spatial validation. If a surveyor uploads a plan that overlaps with an existing registered property, the submission will be automatically flagged as 'Disputed' until the boundary conflict is resolved.

What happens if the AI cannot read my scanned survey plan?

The Surveyor Portal uses AI-powered OCR to extract beacon coordinates from scanned plans. If the document is blurry or the AI encounters a network issue, the system gracefully falls back, allowing you to manually enter the coordinates and property details.

Why do the dashboard statistics and map update without refreshing the page?

The Admin Portal is powered by real-time WebSocket subscriptions. Whenever a new survey is uploaded or a property is approved, the system pushes these database changes instantly to your browser, providing a live view of the state's land registry.

How do I transfer my property to someone else?

Go to the 'Transfer Ownership' page on your Citizen Dashboard. Enter the recipient's registered email address and select the property. They will receive an email notification to accept the transfer. Once accepted, the Digital C of O is legally reassigned.

Can I save a survey plan and finish it later?

Yes. On the lodgement form, you can click 'Save as Draft'. Your progress is securely saved, and you can resume the registration from the 'My Submissions' tab in your dashboard at any time.

How do I get my invoice after paying for a lodgement?

After a successful payment, a branded PDF invoice is automatically generated and attached to the property. You can download it directly from the property details modal in your dashboard.

I run a survey practice with multiple surveyors. Can I manage their submissions?

Yes. Registered Master Surveyors can create an 'Agency' and invite junior surveyors. The Master Surveyor gets access to a unified dashboard showing all team submissions in real-time.
